As documented last week, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are homeless.
The former reality stars were among the many people left homeless in the Los Angeles wildfires, which are still affecting the region in horrific ways.
The natural disaster engulfed thousands of acres of land and killed at least 25 people.
A large number of residents, including alumni of The Hills, evacuated from the city limits in accordance with government orders.
Pratt and Montag left the area with only their sons Gunner, 6, and Riker, 2, and a few belongings.
After losing most of their belongings, two of their TikTok followers launched a GoFundMe campaign on Pratt and Montag’s behalf.
Since then, donations to the couple have exceeded $134,000…which has raised some eyebrows among those who think:
Now, do two celebrities really need this much money from strangers? Isn’t there someone else more deserving?

“We’re used to negativity, so it’s pretty standard.” Pratt told Weekly In response to critics.
“When people want to send their money to someone they love, it’s the same thing as buying celebrity merchandise or buying movie tickets.
“People can do whatever they want with their money, and thank God there are people who support us and send us anything.”
At the time, Pratt and Montag were top names in celebrity gossip.
They appeared on a highly rated reality show and seemed to have mastered the art of making headlines.

In this interview, Pratt added:
“Nobody has to do it, and it’s not a tax. People can say whatever they want and have a right to have their opinion heard. But all the people sending the messages are asking for money. We’re asking you to add them to our Amazon wishlist…These are their choices.”
Spencer said he and his wife are “grateful” for setting up the GoFundMe.
But they didn’t ask for it.

“It’s been frustrating because up until three days ago no one thought we were rich celebrities. When you search for ‘Spencer’ on Google, literally [says] “I’m broke and have no net worth,” Pratt said last Wednesday.
“For the past 15 years, my net worth on the site you searched for was $1,000, and now our house is on fire, and so is my parents’ house. [and] Now that we’re rich celebrities, it’s frustrating because the media has never respectfully called us celebrities. [and] He never called us rich. ”
“Haters” and “trolls” aside, Pratt essentially concluded:
“It’s this weird disconnect where we’re grouped together with actual wealthy celebrities. It would be great if we were…but we’re not, and people don’t know that.” ”
