“I’m grateful for the young people because there are so many talents in them, so even if we lose a lot last year, there’s a new name to fill the gap,” said Director JP Yude. “They are not only talented, but also decisive about the challenges their team faces and how they respond to every situation.
“Even with these God-given talents, I always teach them to be humble,” he said. “They also need to be more hungry all the time so that they can develop these talents and gifts to the best version.”
Ateneo was ready to put things together early, earning the first two sets until Nitura and Mordi blocked them all.
Maldie also shined with 23 points from 16 offenses in his debut. She also had five blocks and ace pair.

Nitura also knows where it all came from.
“Thank you, Lord, for you gave me talent,” she said. “But we don’t stop at this achievement because I know I can do more. And I can do better in the next game.”
