Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ) is a serious and seemingly thoughtful person who carefully oppresses his words before he speaks. That’s why Trump’s bullying Zelensky and his comments on the impact of the president’s actions on the US should attract attention.
Senator Kelly’s video:
Kelly responded to Trump’s actions against Zelensky by saying:
Zelensky, as he always does, is habitually grateful to the Americans, the US Congress and the President. So it was constructive. I have to say that it was a mistake, as none of us were hoping that what happened in the oval office would happen.
I think it was a miscalculation by the president. Bullying our allies, we look weak. And when we are weak, we are not safe. Americans shouldn’t make any mistakes about it. What happened in the oval office was a complete and complete disaster. And it puts us in a much worse situation. Not only with Russians and Ukrainians, but with European allies. And I hope we can repair it and repair it.
Later, Kelly added:
I find it scary for Ukrainians. Vladimir Putin is killing civilians, raping women and stealing children. He then goes to the office to a press conference before the contract is signed. So it doesn’t seem like Trump is, maybe he doesn’t want a deal. One of the things he said is that it would be quite beneficial midway through that meeting, he says, Putin went through a lot of hell with me.
And I don’t really understand why. Donald Trump feels you know, that it’s crossed your arms as a combat veteran with your brother, that it feels like this is hell or that we’ve gone through hell together. And he appears to have such a relationship with Putin. And I don’t understand that. Putin is a dictator.
This overall situation has reduced the national security.
Senator Kelly has listed two key points about Trump, taking into account his brother holding Putin in his arms. The Senator also corrected Trump’s misinformation that Zelensky was not grateful and wanted a deal.
Judging by Trump and Vance’s actions towards Zelensky, they are those who don’t want a fair peace deal.
Part of the pushback that needs to happen right now is that serious and wise Democrats and Republicans must denounce Trump’s Russian talk point.
Senator Kelly was right JD Vance’s procrane protest, Americans are listening.
