Description (Riverside Studio): Created by Sweet Pattootie Arts, turning pointis a black heritage comedy melodrama that tells the stories of four individuals in Barbados and Jamaica in the 1920s. Inspired by oral history about the Black Caribbean experience after World War I, it features performances by established actors and rising stars, set against a backdrop of archival footage and a soundscape of voices from community participants. is.

The TURNING POINT tour program arrived in London as scheduled. From now until the end of 2025, exhibitions and screenings at various venues across the city will inspire partner-led public heritage workshops inspired by our storytelling.
All partner-led activities on our schedule are free and include dementia support workshops. Dance; Caribbean folk songs. Intergenerational Oral History… In addition, school history learning resources inspired by this project (created by teachers) are now available for free download from our website.

About Sweet Pattootie Arts (bristol museum): Tony T. Born in the East End of London. His Caribbean black heritage and British colonial history are touchstones for telling the story. The story explores the neglected journeys of diaspora, identity, race, class, and gender. Public participation advances the interdisciplinary practice framed by his research and writing. Tony’s work includes personal testimony, filmmaking, performance, sound design, and new media. In 1996, Tony founded the production company Sweet Patootee Ltd with Rebecca Goldstone. they started a nonprofit company Sweet Patooty Arts In 2017.
