San Miguel Beer claimed a 120-111 victory that blocked a major comeback for Rain or Shine in the fourth quarter, strengthening its chances of gaining two advantages in the PBA Philippine Cup at Cagayan de Oro City on Saturday.
CJ Perez and Dontrolano knocked down the big shot on a stretch as Beeman won his seventh in nine matches at the Aquilino Pimentel Junior International Convention Centre, but not after being greatly scared by the elastoist painter.

Rain and glow were able to fight from a 25-point deficit, narrowing the gap to one 103-102, remaining five minutes in the final period.
However, Trolano scored five times in a row, and Perez announced one four-pointer that he restored the order courtesy of San Miguel and played in under two minutes.
Perez scored 33 points on eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals, while Trolano dropped 24 points for Beeman. In June, Marfajardo added 20 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two steels.
Beermen will need one win in the elimination of the remaining two games to secure a quarter-final bonus. They will perform converge fiber at Ninoy Aquino Stadium on Wednesday and at Northport Batan Pier at Inares Centre in Antipolo on June 15th.

Andrei Caracut scored 24 points on 7 assists with five triples and one four pointer, while Adrian Nocum scored 22, while the Elasto Painters fell 6-4 to sixth in sixth place.
Rain and glow will have to beat Barangay Ginebra on June 15th to get a chance with two beats.
Things got heated up late in the contest when San Miguel’s Chris Ross and Lane or Shine’s Jonard Clarit were slapped with technique following the latter offensive foul.
Nocum was also charged with techniques to swipe the ball from Ross after committing a foul on subsequent possessions.
