Samsung, a global manufacturer of audio and mobile devices, has stopped shipping the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro.
Statement Android Authority The overall reason for the shipment suspension was that retailers reported several quality control issues, the company confirmed.
Samsung stops shipping Galaxy Buds 3 Pro
Samsung has been battling reports of issues ever since some consumers noticed that the earbuds could easily tear or become damaged.
A statement from the manufacturer said, “We are aware of reports of defects in some early production Galaxy Buds 3 Pro units. We take this issue very seriously and remain committed to ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards. We are urgently evaluating and enhancing our quality control processes.”
Amazon removed the product entirely from its online store, and Samsung delayed its release while it dealt with quality control issues.
“We have temporarily halted deliveries of Galaxy Buds 3 Pro devices to our distribution channels to conduct a full quality control evaluation before shipping to consumers,” the statement continued.
Samsung is taking the issue seriously, but it’s unlikely to stop the negative criticism leveled at the company for such a flagship product.
The company concluded by saying to those affected, “We apologize for any inconvenience caused. If you already own a Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and are experiencing issues, please contact Samsung or visit your nearest Samsung service centre.”
We reported late last month that the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro were a much-anticipated piece of audio kit for Samsung fans, so this will be a real disappointment for anyone who pre-ordered the pricey accessory.
Most Android users will likely stick with the accessories that come with their devices, but this marks a blow to Samsung in flagship tech.
The company is hopeful that there won’t be any quality control issues with its other recently announced devices. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 will introduce a host of AI features that will replace or update existing features for Android users.
