Reed Ramsier, the offensive lineman at Orlando (Fla.) first academy, launched an ambitious camping tour that stopped in Austin on Monday.
Four stars have worked all day with offensive line coach Kyle Flood, Texas Offering soccer before leaving 40 acres.
“Coach Flood offered me in the pool,” Ramsie told rivals. “He said he only offers people who want to win a national championship for the program. I love my feet and my hands. He’s excited to have a reason to come to Florida to recruit me.
“I’m not saying I was surprised, but at the same time, I wasn’t guaranteed an offer just to be there, but I still had to compete and ball out.”
The work and overall impression in Texas, combined with the offer, shoots the Longhorns fairly high on Ramseal’s early candidate list despite over 20 offers to his name.
“They are close to the top of my list, there’s no doubt,” he said. “I’m excited to see where Coach Flood and his relationship with Texas go. He’s the best in business. He coaches me every time after a 1ON1 drill or a rep.”
Each side spoke about the Floridian returning to town for a game in the fall.
From now on, Texas will remain thick in this adoption race.
“UT was great,” Ramsier said. “Just great camp and visit. We had 45 minutes of discussion with the coach. Overall, we can’t wait to get to the game in the great time and fall!”
Despite the new offer, the big blocker is not sitting in the back. He will camp in Clemson before his trek on Tuesday Ohio This Thursday. He exercises Alabama and Georgia – They are already on the offer list – June 10th and 12th respectively.
