Rivals 250 LB Isaiah Williams resigns from Florida State University
Isaiah Williams is back on the public market.
The junior linebacker from Tavares (Fla.) High School announced his plans to opt out. florida Thursday night appointment. This marks the latest move for an explosive recruit who continues to earn scholarship offers and set up visits elsewhere.
Williams first made an appointment with Mike Knobel and others in early September. After just two months, he chose to reset.
“I feel like there’s more to see,” Williams told Rivals. “I’m starting to get (offers) from bigger schools that seem like a better fit for me.”
Four-star named programs include: georgia, Alabama, miami and University of Southern California Some of the people he has in mind at the moment.
Williams had 132 tackles during the regular season at THS, including 22 tackles and six sacks. LSU This weekend’s game is against Alabama.
Competitor’s opinion:
It might not be a real surprise to see Williams back on the market, but this is the third time it’s happened before his senior campaign, so it’s possible that Florida State has made this commitment of sorts. This time might have been the most predictable because we covered it in a sense that surprised us back in September. This was right after his preseason decommitment from Syracuse, and it was clear that Florida and Miami (presumably in that order) were heavily involved along with FSU at the time.
Now, Williams is looking at the big picture, while his recruiting efforts are national. Plans to play college football in his home state are still a possibility, and will become even more likely with the Billy Napier news announced early Thursday, but national programs are likely Over the course of weeks and months, you’ll be doing everything you can to impress this explosive “helper.”
Since all of Williams’ candidates are candidates, I think there may have been a legitimate reset in this recruitment. With a lot of travel scheduled, this time the verbal commitment will probably not come sooner, but much later.
