LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — After releasing details of his upcoming album, “Alexander Technique,” Rex Orange County has revealed plans for a tour that will take him to theaters across the U.S. and the UK.
The Live Nation-produced tour kicks off at the Auditorium in Chicago on October 4 and continues on its North American legs through November 25 and 26, when Rex Orange County will play two shows at Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Other dates on the tour include eight nights at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, three nights at the Beacon Theatre in New York and Massey Hall in Toronto.
In February, Rex Orange County will head to the UK for four shows at the London Palladium from February 16th to 19th.
“The tour will take me to several cities at select theaters where I will be playing multiple nights at these venues. With each album release, I’ve played bigger and bigger shows, but I wanted to do something different with this project because, sonically, the new songs are suited to a more intimate, traditional atmosphere. These venues will allow me to create a show with theater set pieces that will further explore the themes of the album with the music. I love playing live and can’t wait to perform this new album in so many beautiful venues and iconic stages,” said Rex Orange.
Pre-sale tickets for the UK dates will open at 9am local time on Wednesday, July 24th. Pre-sale tickets for the North American dates will open at 10am local time on Wednesday, July 24th.
All tickets for both regions will go on sale next Friday, July 26th at 10am local time.
