Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo and Georgia Republican Rep. Richard McCormick Confused On Thursday Cook Political Report Survey Vice President Kamala Harris is tied with Donald Trump in Georgia.
“I’m amazed at how close the approval ratings are for both of them across the country, including in Georgia,” Bartiromo said.
McCormick echoed her confusion: “I don’t really know where these statistics are coming from, where these poll numbers are coming from, but it’s very surprising to me, too.”
The sources of these figures are as follows:
As CNN data analyst Harry Enten explains, this is a truly remarkable turnaround: disgruntled voters — so-called “double haters” — who didn’t want to vote for either President Joe Biden or President Donald Trump are finding a home.
“Now that Kamala Harris is the Democratic nominee, look at her approval rating among voters. 53 percent say Kamala Harris. Look at that increase. That’s a 25-point increase. Donald Trump is down 11 points,” Enten said.
“And now what we’re seeing, John, is this? Kamala Harris has a 42-point advantage among people who dislike Joe Biden and Donald Trump, compared to just the nine-point advantage that Joe Biden had in June. And that’s a significant portion of the electorate, of course.
Before Kamala Harris was elected, this group would have determined the outcome anyway, and it still may, and if it did, Kamala Harris would have a huge advantage over this very important group in the election.”
Enten also noted that a Pew Research Center poll found that Harris won 39% of people who said they would vote for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in July. Trump won half that number, or just 20% of those voters.
But to veteran pollsters, these changes aren’t all that surprising, even as private polls in Ohio and Florida show “spiking anxiety” numbers for Trump. Rolling Stone.
“When you address issues that voters don’t care about, [such as obsessing over Harris’ crowd sizes]”They punish you, and Trump is being punished now for not staying on message and not addressing the issues people care about,” said Frank Luntz, a longtime pollster and conservative Trump critic. “He should have lost this election, and he’s lost it… and he can’t change.”
Fellow Republicans, here’s the answer, but you continue to deny that these numbers are real and carry on as you always have. See you in November.
