On Tuesday, Razer launched the first keyboard of his DIY set. As the name suggests, the BlackWidow V4 75% Barebones is a popular mechanical keyboard, with no keys or keycaps. If you like the Razer design and Chroma RGB and want to bring your own keys, this could be a solid option.
Otherwise, Barebones BlackWidow is the same as a fully assembled variant. Supports 3- or 5-pin mechanical switches and custom keycaps. It offers a polling rate of up to 8,000Hz with Razer’s hyperpolling technology.
Other details include factory lubrication stabilizers for smoother keystrokes and double-layer damping foam. There are also pre-applied tapes to soften higher frequencies. For a complete summary of the keyboard feature set, see Igor Bonifaci from Engadget review for that IGN 2023.
At $140, the Black Barebones version is $60 cheaper than the pre-assembled version. The white variant is not slightly rifed for $150. (Unfortunately, you won’t be able to get the Barebones One by Phantom Green.) Today, you can order the BlackWidow V4 75% Barebones on the Razer website.
