Advertisements criticizing British Prime Minister Rachel Reeves for accepting political donations from climate-change-skeptic lobbyists have been placed on several London Underground lines without official permission.

A satirical poster reads: “Prime Minister, sponsored by climate change deniers: Rachel Reeves has robbed them of £10,000.” The revised party logo now reads: “Labour still stands for oil.”

Sam Symonds of Climate Resistance, the group behind the stunt, said: “To avoid dangerous climate change, our government needs to phase out dirty oil and gas from the country and replace it with clean, home-grown wind power. and solar power generation must be introduced.”
“But big oil companies are hijacking our politics in a desperate bid to protect their profits and slow action on climate change.
“It is outrageous that our Prime Minister is accepting five-figure sums from a notorious climate change denier while cutting funding to tackle the climate crisis.”

The prime minister has come under increased pressure in recent weeks as the economic outlook worsens.
