Primal Scream announces Come on, let’s step forwardThe album is the first in eight years and is scheduled for release on November 8th. BMGThe LP was produced by David Holmes and the band’s Bobby Gillespie and Andrew Innes. Check out the new single “Love Insurrection” below.
“I’m as excited about this album as I am about making my first one,” Gillespie said in a statement. “If there’s an overarching theme, Come on, let’s step forward “It could be one of conflict, whether internal or external. The title is a Glaswegian saying: if someone threatens to fight you, they say: ‘Come on forward!’ It evokes the indomitable Glaswegian spirit and the album itself shares that aggressive attitude and confidence.”
“The album has a message of hope,” Gillespie added, “but it’s tempered by an embrace of the worst aspects of humanity.”
