Before his starmaking was turned on Steve Harrington Stranger ThingsJoe Keery, who makes music as a DJO, performed in Chicago’s psycho-rock band Post Animal. Almost ten years after his departure, he reunited with the group for their new album ironThis is scheduled to be released on July 25th. It’s led by a refreshing new single “Farewell the last time”. iron Written and produced by five members of Post Animal and Keery. Designed by Dalton Allison and Charles Granders, it was mixed with DJO co-producers Adam Thein and Post Animal’s Dalton Allison, and was mastered by Jared Hirshland. “This record felt like a friendship and the band’s revitalization,” commented Hirschland. “We’ve always worked together, but it’s amazing how that dynamic has returned since 2017 by reintroducing Joe into the mix.”
“We enjoy creating something we are proud of, and it’s a more mature era for us as collaborators and friends,” Javier Reyes shared. “We all enjoy the momentum and our friendship and have a creative atmosphere with each other,” Dalton Allison added: “All of these creative forces came together and it was like iron sharpening iron. When we are close to each other, we make each other better.”
Post Animal is currently on a sold-out US tour with DJO, who released his new album core Early this month. Today they also announced the five-piece headline tour It will start in November.
