The plastic surgery isn’t over at the Playboy Mansion just yet… renovations are ongoing, and a new video shows that, although things are improving, the work is still far from complete.
Photographers captured the iconic party mansion’s massive renovation on video, starting outside, where scaffolding still covers the stone facade, and moving room by room, revealing rolls of plastic sheeting and covered openings where windows need replacing.
Check out the video: Outside the mansion, the grounds have been disturbed and some of the landscape plants are still missing… but at least the iconic grotto has water and green grass finally surrounds the mansion again, so work is definitely progressing.
The Playboy Mansion is known for its wide variety of exotic animals, and despite the din of the construction site — peacocks frolic about and monkeys and toucans frolic in their cages — the animals seem to be thriving.
The entire back side of the building is windowless and there is heavy machinery firmly planted on the property… so don’t expect bunnies to start prancing again anytime soon.

Metropoulos began applying for renovation permits with the city in 2019, but five years later, work is still ongoing.
The baby bunny is quite the hopper… but it may be a while before Darren is ready to wear his robe and captain’s hat!
