Easter glasses are like Christmas tinsels. The small plastic shreds certainly look good in short moments, but then you regret using them.

First of all, it’s a way to find pieces of plastic Easter glass in the most random locations of your home for a few months after the Easter Bunny jumps off. Most importantly, however, the fact that oil-based things never disappear. It cannot be easily recycled. So the fake grass added to the Easter basket for its appearance is somewhere in the landfill after the last jelly beans were eaten.

However, if you want to live an environmentally friendly lifestyle, you don’t need to give up on the Easter basket tradition. Here are some great alternatives to plastic Easter basket glass.

Yes, plastic shreds can be reused every year if you are willing to collect them and store them in your bags until next year’s holiday. But there are so many great alternatives, who needs plastic?
