NPR Trump reportedly is looking for a new Secretary of Defense:
According to US officials who are not allowed to speak publicly, the White House has begun a process of searching for a new Secretary of Defense.
This is because Defense Secretary Pete Hegses continues to realize he is in controversy. NPR also confirmed with the same officials that Hegseth had shared details prior to the strike last month, with Yemen having a signal chat with his wife and brother on his personal phone, and minutes after it was updated by a senior US military official.
This is a very Trump move. The administration will say he is in support of Hegstes until the moment Trump posts on social media that Hegseth has been replaced by someone else.
One report may not be sure Hegses is leaving, but after that Politics We spoke with Don Bacon (R-NE), a member of the House Armed Services Committee.
