Follow the livestream of Wednesday’s press conference featuring heavyweight rivals Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury as the countdown to their long-awaited rematch in Saudi Arabia in December begins in earnest.
The press conference will accelerate preparations for the Dec. 21 fight in Riyadh, where Fury will seek to avenge his blockbuster defeat in May.
Usyk won a split decision when the rivals met, becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion in the four-belt era since Lennox Lewis in 1999, but has since relinquished the IBF belt.
Fury appeared to be in control of the fight at the halfway point when Usyk made a stunning breakthrough, but a thrilling ninth round saw the Ukrainian threaten to stop the ‘Gypsy King’ who earned a standing count.
In the end, Usyk won in Saudi Arabia by scores of 115-112, 113-114, and 114-113, sealing Fury’s first professional loss.
