After a monumental win over Georgia over the weekend that brought a slew of top players to town, another talented prospect has settled into Lane Kiffin’s program as his future school.
This is from Dante Core and is a reversal of the verbal commitment. The Fort Walton Beach (Fla.) Choctawhatchee defensive back had been assigned to Auburn, another spot in the SEC, since May 18.
“Ole Miss had the best atmosphere ever,” Core told Rivals. “I also saw how important they made me feel during my visit, along with the dominant games they coached.”

The senior’s change of heart came shortly after the trip, but the message from Kiffin and his friends remained the same for months.
“They see me coming in early and making an impact,” Core said. “Coach (Brian) Brown, coach (Pete) Golding, coach Kiffin as well.

When the Rebels’ latest pledge was communicated to Kiffin, it was understandably greeted with enthusiasm.
“He had the biggest smile on his face and told me how excited he was,” Core said. “Also, how big of an impact it will have on this recruiting class. He said I’m going to be an impact on a lot of other guys.”
When asked if he had a target in mind for Ole Miss, he didn’t shy away from the latest effort.
The senior said he would recruit “everyone” to Oxford if possible.
