If you’re like us, you can’t leave a big convention without a poster tube full of goodies. New York Comic Con is happening later this week, and as you might expect, artists and brands will be bringing all kinds of amazing exclusive items to the event. Of course, the venue will feature all kinds of toys, games, and collectibles, but we’re drawn to the limited edition art. And to give you a taste of what’s in store, we’ve compiled some of our favorites.
First up, artist Truck Torrence, also known as 100% Soft, brings his unique art style to the Spider-Man world. This brand new 24 x 36 inch screenprint features Spidey playing all of his most famous villains, from Sandman and Rhino to Green Goblin, Venom, and even J. Jonah Jameson. Can you find them all?
“Spider-Man is one of my favorite superheroes, and his Rogues Gallery is, in my opinion, the best group of villains,” Torrence told io9. “We wanted to create a print that paid homage to both them and Spider-Man as a uniquely New York hero.” There will be 200 copies of the print, priced at $60. Available at booth 1665 along with the super cool and cute new limited edition Dumpster Fire. Read about them all here.
Another of our favorite artists, Jason Edmiston, is bringing his usual array of great new art to the convention, all of which you can see at booth 2058. I won’t list them all, but here are a few that stand out. First, Edmiston tackles one of the best genre films of the year. material. “Pump It Up” is available in 75 editions and costs $25.
It was released as part of the show, but available online is the 8th Wonder of the World: King Kong himself. 8th wonder of the world Booth or as a signed and numbered timed edition for $250. On the Edmiston website. It’s about the same size as Kong, measuring a whopping 56 x 24 inches.
These are some of our favorite independent artists, but what about galleries? There’s a lot of great stuff at Booth 1481 at Spoke Art, but here’s just one… godzilla Written by Matt Taylor. Check out this print Please see this link for more information.
