On Saturday, a Royal Dutch Airlines jet carrying about 180 passengers made an emergency landing in Norway after suffering a hydraulic failure mid-air, crashing off the tarmac and into grass.
The airline said the flight was en route from Olso, Norway to Amsterdam when the pilot heard a “loud noise”.

A loud noise was heard during takeoff of flight KL1204 from Oslo to Amsterdam this evening (28th-12th). It was decided to change the destination to Sandefjord Airport. After landing, the Boeing 737 veered off the runway and plunged into grass at low speed. All 176 passengers and six crew members were unharmed and are being treated. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation.

Police said: “A passenger plane heading from Oslo to Amsterdam had to make an emergency landing at Torp Airport due to a hydraulic system failure.” reportedly said in a statement.
