Ginebra came to the brink of defeat on Wednesday after absorbing a demoralizing stretch in the PBA Governors’ Cup finals, winning 99-72.

“They outplayed us in this game. All that matters now for us is to move forward and move on. We’re still here for the series,” said the Gin Kings, who are in a 3-2 hole. , Thompson said.

“For us, there’s no excuses. They played really well and their adjustments really surprised us.”
TNT extended its lead early in the second quarter, and Ginebra, known for its energetic comebacks, was unable to mount anything that posed a serious threat.
Thompson had 13 points, four rebounds and two assists, and backcourt partner LA Tenorio added 13 points, but the rest of the Gin Kings, including import Justin Brownlee, had just eight points. I had a hard time.

But as far as the former league MVP is concerned, all they have to do is “stay positive” in hopes of delivering a do-or-die victory in Antipolo.
Certainly, Thompson and the Gin Kings know a thing or two about comebacks.
“They’re a well-coached team and they adjusted well tonight, so I’ll leave it to the coaching staff to figure out how to adjust for the next game.”
“We were down 2-0 last time, but we stayed positive. As long as we stay positive going into the next game, that’s going to be big for us.”
