There used to be a thread on @volokhc, but the underlying Instagram page is no longer accessible and the thread account is no longer accessible.
Maybe the problem is that I listed the name as “Volokh Conspiracy” and then changed it to “Eugene Volokh (Volokh Conspiracy)” and maybe Instagram insisted that the name be just “Eugene Volokh” No. But the error message was never clear. I was told multiple times that my account was restored, only to be flagged again. I was asked for a photo ID, I showed it and was told it couldn’t be read. Even if I needed to change my username to “Eugene Volokh”, I couldn’t.
@volokhc If anyone can explain how to restore the page and rename it if necessary, I would appreciate it. But luckily I only had about 20-odd followers there (Bluesky had over 600 in about the same period), so I hope this change doesn’t bother too many people. I am. If you are one of the followers of our thread @volokhc, please shift to @volokhconspiracy. (Twitter, Mastodon, and Bluesky feeds remain @volokhc.)
