Happy New Music Friday! The weekend has arrived. That means more streams, new playlists, and the best music. ET covers everything in between.

The 2025 Grammy nominations were announced today. Beyoncé leads with 11 nominations, followed by Charli Record of the Year nominees include The Beatles, Beyoncé, Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Chapel Lawn, and Taylor Swift featuring Post Malone. Album of the Year nominees include Andre 3000, Beyoncé, Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX, Jacob Collier, Billie Eilish, Chapel Lawn, and Taylor Swift. The nominees for Best Newcomer are Benson Boone, Sabrina Carpenter, Doechee, Khruangbin, RAYE, Chapel Lawn, Shabouzy, and Teddy Swims. “Music’s Biggest Night” will air on February 2, 2025 on CBS. The CMA has announced the first performers for the 58th annual CMA Awards, which will air on ABC on November 20th. Co-host Luke Bryan will perform his hit song “Love You, Miss You, Mean It,” and first-time host Laney Wilson will perform “4x4xU.” Post Malone performed a song inspired by his daughter, “Yours,” Shabouzy performed a medley of his hits, and Dierks Bentley performed Tom Petty’s classic “American Girl” with Molly Tuttle, Sierra… He will perform alongside Hal, Bronwyn Keith-Hines and Ashley McBride. will also be on stage. Post Malone and Chris Stapleton come together to perform “California Sober,” while Thomas Rhett and Teddy Swims, performing together for the first time, perform a mashup of their hits.

Legacy Recordings, in partnership with The Estate of Whitney E. Houston and Primary Wave Music, has released “Love Is,” a new studio single from Whitney Houston’s first live concert album. Whitney Houston: Concert for the New South Africans (Durban)to commemorate the 30th anniversary of her historic visit to South Africa.

Kevin Jonas Sr., aka Papa Jonas, has released his debut Christmas EP. Readyset Glow – Holiday Collection. Kevin’s wife, Denise Jonas, lends her vocals to several songs, including a heartfelt duet titled “Ready Set Glow.” The EP also features a collaboration with Nick Jonas, written by Jonas when he was nine years old. Kevin said: “Thirty-five years ago I promised my wife Denise that I would record and release a Christmas record, and now it’s finally happening.”

Last weekend, Nelly celebrated his 50th birthday, and Ashanti threw him a special party at TAO in Las Vegas. ET spoke with the couple, in which Ashanti revealed that Nelly is “so precious to me, to be honest. That I have someone who’s like my soulmate, my person, my best friend, my protector. Just. It’s a great feeling. I think only the universe does that.” Don’t make the mistake. ” Nelly said Ashanti was “a wonderful person and a wonderful mother” and was very grateful to his friends, family and wife.
