MANILA, Philippines – Myra Pablo admitted that Petro Gaz couldn’t match the aggression No. 7 Zus Coffee Thunderbelles demonstrated when the Angels fell on the brink of elimination at the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
With a 10-game winning streak, No. 2 Petro Gazz suddenly misses the semi-finals after absorbing a stunning 21-25, 23-25, 25-27 defeat to Play-In survivor Zus Coffee in the quarter-finals at the Philsport Arena on Tuesday night.

After being blocked by Jobellin Gonzaga and finished the third set of expansion, Pablo admitted that the one-year-old club has proven everyone is a game in a three-person series.
In contrast, Pablo said the angels lack the same aggression.
“We thought we could pull it off in the first and second sets, but we thought Zus was actually offensive.

Pablo and the Angels held a long meeting after the loss as they needed to win two consecutive games to participate in the semi-finals.
“The next game on Saturday will have to focus on what’s wrong with this game.

“In the first set, we took time to keep up and make ourselves difficult.”
Leading by a Brook Van Chickle match with 18 points, 13 excavations and 11 excellent receptions, Petrogaz was abolished by the frontlines of Zus Coffee after the latter tallied 11 kill blocks.
When Angeles fought to level the series in Game 2 in Ynares Center Antipolo, Pablo emphasized the importance of starting out powerfully.
“In Game 2, when we win Game 1, we feel they’re confident, so we really need to be an initiative.
“It’s really important to be in the quarterfinals in the quarterfinals as you still have a chance to play in Game 3 if you win at least Game 2.”
