Mother Dairy is targeting a 13 percent increase in sales to Rs 1,700 crore this fiscal year as it expects rising demand for dairy and edible oil products.
Mother Dairy is a leading milk supplier in Delhi-NCR. The company also sells edible oils across India under the brand ‘Dhara’ and fresh fruits and vegetables through around 400 ‘Safal’ retail outlets in Delhi-NCR.
“We are celebrating our 50th anniversary and achieved a milestone revenue of Rs 15,000 crore last fiscal,” said Manish Bandrish, managing director, Mother Dairy. PTI.
The company has been growing steadily, with revenue increasing by more than 40 percent over the past three years, he said.
“We have accelerated our growth momentum so far this fiscal and expect an additional Rs 1,500-2,000 crore growth,” Bandrish said.

The start of FY24-25 has been very promising with most of the summer staple categories such as curd, ice cream and dairy drinks growing a combined total of over 40 per cent in volume terms, he highlighted.
“This year, our focus is on strengthening our presence in the country by strengthening distribution, increasing our production capacity and strengthening our portfolio with the launch of new products that will delight our consumers,” Bandrish said.
Mother Dairy has increased its sales by over Rs 4,500 crore in the last three years.
Mother Daily has launched around 30 different products so far this year.

This financial year, Mother Dairy will focus on building its national footprint and expanding future capacity to support growth.
It will also explore new opportunities in existing and new product categories.
The company plans to introduce new products to build a strong portfolio, with a focus on categories such as cultured dairy products, confectionery and cheese.
Mother Dairy is setting up dairy facilities in Nagpur, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
The Nagpur plant will be a mega dairy processing plant with a processing capacity of 600,000 litres per day, expandable up to 1 million litres per day.
The facility will produce fluid milk and dairy products.
The company will also add capacity for edible butter at its existing Junagadh plant.
In the fruits and vegetables segment, Mother Dairy is setting up new plants in Karnataka and Gujarat for its pulp and frozen portfolio.
The company is also looking to strengthen Dara’s share in the market.
Mother Dairy was established in 1974 and is currently a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).
The plant was set up under the initiative of Operation Flood, the world’s largest dairy development programme, launched with the aim of making India self-sufficient in milk.
Today, Mother Dairy is a leading dairy company that manufactures and sells milk and dairy products including fermented products, ice cream, paneer, ghee etc under the brand ‘Mother Dairy’.
The company sells over 450,000 litres of milk per day across the country, of which over 350,000 litres per day is sold in the Delhi National Capital Region.
The company also has a diversified portfolio that includes edible oil products under the brand ‘Dhara’.
Under the Safal brand, the company sells fresh fruits and vegetables, frozen vegetables and snacks, whole pulses, pulps and concentrates.
Mother Dairy has nine company-owned milk processing plants.
For edible oil, it operates through 16 third-party factories.
