Microsoft’s Family Safety feature is designed to block certain types of websites for children. Apparently, Google’s Chrome browser is also blocking it, but there is a workaround.
Chrome, a web browser launched by Google in 2008, is not working if the user has enabled the Family Safety feature. The first report of the bug appears to be until June 3rd. When a user posts to Google’s online support board.
Users noted that Chrome constantly closed when the person tried to use it. Rebooting the computer and reinstalling Chrome did not work.
“It keeps saying the same thing as ‘Updates are not available’,” the user wrote.
This issue should only occur on Windows computers configured to use Microsoft family safety features. This feature allows you to filter content, manage screen time and track online activity. (There is also a Family Safety App. )
A Microsoft representative did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
What should I do if my chrome is crashing due to this bug?
There seem to be two ways to do this problem. Probably the easiest way is Follow these steps:

- Choose your child’s name.
- [Windows]Go to tabs, go to apps and games, and unblock Chrome. A variant of this step is to disable filtering ‘inappropriate websites’ under the edge, but it beats the purpose of having family safety features at all, allowing children to surf to any website, including adult content sites.
