ZURICH (Reuters) – Swiss solar panel maker Meyer Burger (SIX:) said on Tuesday it would postpone the release of its first-half 2024 results until Sept. 16 as it seeks additional funding and a strategic partner.
“As previously reported, Meyer Burger is currently committed to securing additional funding and entering into strategic alliances with prominent technology partners,” the company said in a brief statement.
As a result, Meyer Burger said it would postpone the publication of its results, which were originally scheduled for Wednesday, without providing further details.
Earlier this year, the company announced it had closed a rights issue raising a total of CHF 206.75 million, which will be used to fund the completion of its manufacturing facilities in Colorado and Arizona.
Meyer Burger’s fundraising woes have put pressure on its share price, which has fallen more than 90% since the start of the year and is well below the peak reached in early 2023, according to LSEG data.
