Mentions tab added to Bluesky notification area

Bluesky now has a specific tab for mentions in notifications as part of the app. 1.96 update just released.[メンション]Tabs make it easy to see the replies and conversations you’re tagged in on the platform.

When it comes to replies, update 1.96 now gives you easy access to settings that let you control how replies to your posts look. Replies can be linear, with posts appearing one after the other, or threaded, in indented threads (similar to how they appear on Reddit). You can also sort replies by newest, oldest, most liked, “hot”, and “random” (which Bluesky also calls “poster’s roulette”).

If you choose to set a custom domain as your username, in 1.96 Bluesky will also reserve your old .bsky.social name and prevent anyone else from acquiring it. I wish this feature was available when setting up a custom domain. At that time, I created a replacement account using my old .bsky.social name to prevent it from being retrieved.
