According to court documents obtained by ET, Wayans, 51, a comedian and actor, is requesting joint custody and legal custody of the former couple’s daughter. In court documents filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Monday, Wayans also filed a voluntary declaration of parentage that he signed in December.
Moreland, who describes herself in court documents as an “unemployed graduate student” in California, is also seeking joint contributions for reasonable expenses related to the pregnancy and birth, as well as legal fees and other costs incurred in the custody battle, which she has previously asked Wayans to cover.
Wayans’ response comes more than three months after Moreland requested full custody and visitation rights for Wayans, with the comedian saying Shade Room.
