According to the latest shareholding update, Kela acquired 33,41,700 shares in Waaree Energies with an investment of Rs 870.6 million, securing a 1.16% stake in the solar PV module maker.
In addition, Mr. Khera purchased 3,379,834 shares of Indostar Capital Finance worth Rs 9,450 crore representing 2.48% stake in Indostar Capital Finance.
Notably, Mr. Kela did not own any shares in any of these companies during the September quarter, or his holdings were below the disclosure threshold of 1%.
According to Trendlin data, as per company holdings filed in December 2024, Madhuri Madhusudan Khera has 11 publicly held stocks with a net worth of over Rs 1,414.3 million.
Waaree Energies stock and financial status
Leading battery manufacturer Waaree Energies has seen its stock price increase by a significant 73.34% over the past year, and only increased by 1.57% in the last week. BSE stock price on Friday ended 1.71 per cent lower at Rs 2,604.40.
The company reported flat consolidated revenue of Rs 3,574 crore in Q2 FY25 compared to Rs 3,537 crore in Q2 FY24. EBITDA increased by 1.5% year-on-year to 525 million rupees, and profit margin improved slightly to 14.7% from 14.6% in the previous year. Margins subsequently contracted by 152 bps from 16.2% in 1QFY25. Profit after tax rose 17% year-on-year to Rs 376 million, from Rs 2,125 billion in the year-ago period to Rs 8,909 billion, due to a surge in other income.
Indostar Capital Finance Stocks and Financials
Over the past six months, the company’s stock has delivered a solid return of 16.36%, and has risen to 38.77% over the past year. BSE stock price on Friday ended 1.82 per cent higher at Rs 279.25.
In the second quarter, the NBFC reported a solid 27.9% year-on-year profit increase, supported by an 8.05% increase in sales despite sequential declines. Although quarterly sales decreased by 13.11%, profit increased by 27.08%, highlighting the company’s strong cost management. Selling, general and administrative expenses (SG&A) decreased by 5.28% sequentially, despite an increase of 24.68% year-over-year, indicating effective expense management.
