When I was growing up on the islands, lemon pepper was never on the menu, but over the past few years I’ve noticed it slowly becoming a beloved “condiment.” I’m not a fan of these prepackaged condiments because of the high salt content, so I was able to find a low-sodium version at Sam’s Club and feel comfortable sharing this recipe with you.

You will need…
2 to 3 pounds chicken wings (Cropped)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon lemon pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 tablespoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons melted butter
1 tablespoon lemon pepper (No salt)
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Lemon zest (1 medium size)
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Note. Check out the video below for more details on the recipe. Try our sodium-free lemon pepper, as many regular lemon peppers contain too much salt. If you want to give your finished wings a tangy flavor, add some chili flakes to the seasoning. If you’re making this dish gluten-free, check the full list of ingredients to make sure they meet your gluten-free dietary requirements.

Season the cut pieces (Remove the wing tips and separate the flats from the drum) Add all ingredients except cornstarch first. Mix well, sprinkle with cornstarch and marinate for about 30 minutes.
Next, preheat the oven to 400F.
Line a baking tray with foil, then place a wire rack on top and spray with baking spray. This will help the wings not stick together while roasting. The foil will also make cleanup easier. Make sure there is space between the wings when placing them on the wire rack.

Place the tray on the center rack and bake in a 400 degree oven for 35 minutes. Remove from the oven, flip and bake for an additional 15 minutes.

During the last 15 minutes, mix the second ingredient to create the finishing sauce and pour it over the wings as soon as they come out of the oven, to coat.

Transfer the roasted wings to a large bowl, pour the sauce over them and mix well. Your lemon pepper wings are ready to serve. Super easy to make and a big hit with your party guests.
