In case you missed it, we are officially The company released the 1,497-piece set this week, along with a 90-second mini-movie that recreates the film with Lego bricks. Jaws The set includes a boat (orca), shark and minifigures of main characters Martin Brody, Matt Hooper and Sam Quinto, plus some essential hunting items including a harpoon and bright yellow barrel.
The set will be available to the public on August 6th for $150, but those who are members of the LEGO Insiders loyalty program can purchase it earlier starting August 3rd. The set can also be built on top of a base that becomes the ocean of the scene, so you can get the shark in just the right position to make it look like it’s attacking the boat. Or you can use a stand for the shark to display it and the boat as separate pieces. One of the tiles in the water set has the line “You’re going to need a bigger boat” printed on it.
A fierce showdown between a haphazard group of shark hunters and a man-eating Great White has never looked so family-friendly. Check out LEGO’s “Jaws in a Jiffy” to get a feel for it.
