Former Trump campaign chairman, White House adviser, and “Alternative Facts” Feminist lover Kellyanne Conway spoke at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night, telling delegates what a great feminist Donald Trump is.
Of course, Conway didn’t use the F-word during her speech; she simply talked about how great a guy he is for occasionally hiring women.
She also didn’t mention one of her favorite topics, historically: abortion. In fact, abortion received barely any attention at the Republican National Convention. No one has yet mentioned how the Republican-controlled Supreme Court has overturned it. Roe v. Wadeis a decades-old plan that has garnered much attention at past conventions.
In February, Ms Conway urged Republicans to “embrace” a tough stance on abortion.
“Instead of pretending to stick our heads in the sand like the ostrich, we should be like the peacock and say, ‘Look, this is what it means to be pro-life in 2024. This is what it means to be pro-choice in 2024,'” she said at the time. “And instead of hiding it, let’s embrace it and get the message out.”
But apparently she’s finally read the polls that show how much of a losing message that actually is for Republicans. And apparently every other Republican who’s avoiding the issue agrees.
“In 2024, there will be no closet Trump supporters. Now is the time to put a flag on your doorstep and a red hat on your head,” Conway told the Republican National Convention crowd on Wednesday night. “Because we will not bow down. We will not cower. We will not succumb. Instead, we will stand up. We will show up. We will stand up and speak out.”
Except when it comes to having a say in how your policies affect Americans?
