Not only did Kamala Harris address some 60,000 voters last week, but she also recruited thousands of new volunteers in battleground states.

Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz quickly put this enthusiasm into action, rallying more than 66,000 enthusiastic supporters across the Blue Wall State and the Southwest and signing up thousands of volunteers.
According to NBC News: Reports this morning said more than 5,000 volunteers had registered to defeat Trump at the Las Vegas rally, with many more going door-to-door and making phone calls in the days immediately following the rally. The Arizona Republic reported that 3,000 volunteers had registered for the Phoenix rally. Meanwhile, in Wisconsin, the campaign had 13,000 conversations with voters over the weekend, and more than 1,100 volunteers had registered for the Michigan rally last week.
The Biden-Harris campaign had already invested heavily in campaigning in battleground states, but enthusiasm for Vice President Harris allowed the campaign to build even more resources and connections with voters in key states.
Volunteers reach out to voters, and outreach is one of the most effective ways to get people to vote.
In contrast, Donald Trump has been warned by allies in recent days that he lacks a strong groundswell in battleground states, which has left him in the position of relying on his supporters to show up to the polls and vote. The former president does not have a dedicated team to lobby on his behalf in key states and ensure that his supporters vote.
The ground game is an element of a campaign that is planned for months in advance, not something that’s thrown in at the last minute: While Harris is reaching out to thousands of voters, Trump is talking to Elon Musk and playing golf.
The military is coming to take down Donald Trump, and he’s not prepared to deal with it.
