Antipolo – Justin Brownlee knew he would shock despite his dislocation to his right thumb. He knew that Barangay Ginebra had to start strong to get a final Game 4 victory against TNT, who tied the PBA Commissioner Cup Final here 2-2.
“I wanted to be offensive,” Brownlee said after scoring 23 points in a 95-78 victory at Ynares Center despite being considered suspicious due to an injury two nights before Game 3.

Brownlee began hot, knocking down six of the seven attempts of the first half with 15 points, helping Jinkins set the tone for the night needed to get a win to recover his chances for the title.
He knocked on a few key shots in the second half before Jamie Maronzo and Japez Aguilar came in and when Guinebra was last pulled away.

“I definitely had doubts about the tape. [that was placed on my thumb]that definitely feels different,” Brownley said. I don’t want to jinx it, but I felt it well. ”
The three best imports were performances that allowed him to descend as one of Brownlee’s best, with 12 rebounds and five assists plus nine in seventeenth from the floor.

Manager Tim Cohn admitted that Brownlee appears to be taking place for the series given the severity of his injuries.
In fact, Cornbare Dozinebra was exploring the option of tapping naturalized player Anjikoume as a temporary replacement while Brownlee dealt with the injury.
Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson, brother of TNT Import Rondae, was also considered. But in the end it was either Brownlee or an all-Philippine lineup.

“In my mind before practice, there was zero chance he could play and become part of the series,” Kohn said. “But when he started filming [in practice] And he said, “I don’t feel any pain,” and then we thought he could play. ”
