Earnings on purchases with United Airlines will increase by 50% from 2 miles on the previous two cards to up to 3 miles per dollar spent. The hefty annual fee of $250 is offset slightly by a free annual $125 credit on United purchases and your first two checked bags.

The 90,000-mile welcome bonus requires slightly more spending than the Quest card ($5,000 instead of $4,000), but if you can spread the extra spending, it’s significantly more expensive than other cards. It will be.
