Is Joy-Anna Duggar a dangerous parent?
That’s the argument many of the former reality TV star’s Instagram followers made this week.

The trouble began when Joy posted what she thought was a presumably innocent video to her Instagram page.
In this video, she and Her youngest son, GunnarYou can see people enjoying nature on quad bikes.
One day, the boy meets a horse for the first time and cries out in joy.
“My 14 month old son’s reaction when he sees a horse,” Joy captioned the video.
but, parade When the news first broke, some fans were disgusted by the sight of a one-year-old riding an ATV without a helmet.
Adding to the concern was the fact that Joy’s four-year-old daughter, Evelyn, was visibly upset at the sight of the horses.


“This is very dangerous. Your child may have already panicked and lost control of the quad. Think about it mums,” one commenter wrote.
“Oh my god don’t put your baby on an ATV,” another added.
“Well that’s scary and dangerous,” a third chimed in.
“For a boy to stand with his back in front of a horse is an accident and no safety precautions are being taken.” [sic] “For the sake of our other two children,” they pointed out.
Joy comes under fire for her response to daughter’s outrage
Joy’s decision to just laugh off her daughter’s reaction left some fans horrified.


“Evie is crying and might startle the horse again and cause an accident,” one follower wrote.
“If you take kids to see the horses, make sure they stay behind the fence for safety. The animals may look cute, but one move could ruin everything.”
We have many The Duggar family’s questionable parenting habitsand Joy certainly should have been more careful here.
However, the reaction to the video she posted seems a bit exaggerated.


Fortunately, Joy had many advocates.
“Well done mom! I see you are letting your child be a child…exploring and experiencing life! That’s so good! Too many people think children are too weak to experience life…let them be children! Well done!”
“Anyone who tells you how to raise your children is crazy. I’m so happy you’re living your best life, Joy.”
“Many people have commented [have] “Some of you have never been to a farm or lived on a farm,” wrote another, while “Some of you have never drunk water from a hose and I know that.”
Earlier this week, Joy announced that she was moving out. And she will no longer be posting on her YouTube channel.
The uproar over Joy’s latest Instagram photo may have confirmed that her decision to step back from the spotlight was the right one.
