Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) launched a fierce attack on President Trump’s running mate, J.D. Vance, when asked about his blame for the assassination attempt on President Trump on Democrats.

Let me ask you about another topic: the second assassination attempt on former President Trump. Here’s what his running mate, JD Vance, said in response this week:

Senator J.D. Vance:
The big difference between conservatives and liberals is that no one tried to kill Kamala Harris. In the last few months, we’ve had two people try to kill Donald Trump. I think this is strong evidence that the left needs to shut up and stop being such a bullshit bastard. Someone’s going to get hurt.

Kristen Welker:
Senator, what is your response to Senator J.D. Vance?
Senator John Fetterman:
I don’t know. Who is actually listening to Vance? It’s been months now. Nobody is listening to him anymore. He’s built a reputation for saying stupid things, nonsensical things, pissing everybody off. And he was elected as the most unpopular candidate in history. But nobody is listening to him. I certainly am not. And now here we are.
Kristen Welker:
But the substance of his accusation would say, ‘I think this is strong evidence that the left needs to tone down their rhetoric and remove this white space.’ How do you respond to that particular part of what he said?
Senator John Fetterman:
This is total nonsense. Every single Democrat condemned the assassination attempt. I did too. And, you know, they talk about eating dogs and all that other crazy stuff. Come on, let’s have a serious discussion about this election instead of talking about the empty rhetoric of people like JD Vance.

Senator Fetterman was right, JD Vance is always performing for his VP candidate audience, and Vance is a shameless man in a currently failing campaign who says stupid and idiotic things.
No one in this race has done more damage to themselves and their future than J.D. Vance. Vance is now a sick, funny joke, and while he will likely run for the Republican nomination in 2028, J.D. Vance is finished as a national politician.
