MANILA, Philippines – PBA player John Amores was allegedly involved in a shooting after attending a basketball game in his hometown in Laguna province.
Amores reportedly got into a physical altercation with a man in the town of Lumban, which sparked the incident, which was captured on surveillance cameras and later posted on social media.

Other media reports have said authorities are conducting a “thorough investigation” to find Amores.
It has been two years since Amores went on a rampage during a game against the College of Saint Benilde as a player for Jose Rizal University in the NCAA.
Despite ultimately being banned from the collegiate league, Amores was given a second chance, with NorthPort selecting him in the fifth round of the 2023 PBA Rookie Draft.

Amores had been playing well throughout his rookie season, culminating in the Governors Cup final against the TNT Tropang Giga last Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
However, a recent controversy may put Amores’ PBA career in jeopardy.
