Trump promised to restore peace and stability to the world. “We will restore peace, stability and harmony around the world,” he declared, without elaborating on how. Trump assured that under his leadership, the United States would regain respect and power, and ensure the security of its borders.
Trump blames Biden for world conflict
The former president blamed the Biden administration for many international conflicts, including those that existed before Biden’s administration. “We are facing international crises the likes of which the world has never seen before. War is raging in Europe, conflict is spreading in the Middle East, conflict is looming over Taiwan, South Korea, the Philippines and across Asia,” Trump said. He vowed to resolve these conflicts if elected to a second term.
Hostage Release and Missile Defense
Trump called for the release of Americans held overseas, warning, “To the whole world, I say this: We want the hostages released. If they are not returned before I take office, there will be a very heavy price to pay.” He also proposed building a missile defense system in the United States similar to Israel’s Iron Dome, despite the system’s limitations against intercontinental missiles.
Relationship with Kim Jong Un
Recounting his previous interactions with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Trump suggested that Kim would be welcome back to the White House. “I get on well with Chairman Kim, and he’d be happy to have me back. And I think he misses me, if you want to know,” Trump said.
