Joe Biden became the first American president to visit the Amazon rainforest.

Some of Biden’s remarks from the White House pool report:

“I’m proud to be here, the first sitting U.S. president to visit Amazon.”

“The most powerful solutions to combating climate change are all around us – in forests around the world.”

“There is still much we can and must do at home and abroad.”

“Fighting climate change has been a defining objective of my presidency.”

“We don’t have to choose between the environment and the economy.”

“It’s no secret that I will be stepping down in January,” he said, adding that he left a strong foundation for his successor to build upon should they choose to do so.

president biden It was right. Although he has put the United States in a much better position on climate change than when he took office, Donald Trump Trying to destroy everything. Trump’s choice for Secretary of Energy is a fracking operator. The incoming administration also intends to roll back nearly everything Biden has done on climate change.

President Trump is running on fossil fuels, and his backward-looking approach will define U.S. energy policy for the next four years.

Biden did a lot of important work, but many Democratic voters didn’t seem to care because they didn’t show up to vote for vice president. After Joe Biden leaves office, America will realize how much he accomplished for them.
