Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
The news of the diagnosis was shared by Biden’s office on Sunday afternoon.
The press release describes Biden’s cancer as being particularly “aggressive.”

Biden officials announced that the former president is fighting cancer
“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen in a new discovery of the prostate nodules after experiencing increased urinary symptoms. On Friday he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (grade group 5), including metastasis to the bone.” ABC News.
“This represents a more aggressive disease, but cancer is hormone sensitive and allows for effective management.
“The president and his family are reviewing treatment options with his doctor.”

Biden’s office announced Tuesday that after a “daily physical examination,” a small nodules were found in Biden’s prostate.
At the time, a spokesman said the nodule “needs for further evaluation,” but there was no immediate cause of concern.
The worst fears are now confirmed as the 82-year-old former president, vice president, and the US senator appear to be forced to receive aggressive treatment to arrest rapid advances in cancer.
This isn’t Biden’s first cancer brush

In 2023, while he was still in the White House, Biden removed a cancerous lesion from his chest.
“As expected, the biopsy confirmed that the small lesion was basal cell carcinoma,” said Dr. Kevin O’Connor, a White House physician.
“All cancer tissues have been removed successfully…no further treatment is required.”
The former president lost his son, Beau Biden, to a brain tumor in 2015.
Biden’s happiness has long been a matter of public scrutiny.

Last July, Biden announced he would not run for reelection amid concerns about his mental vision and physical well-being.
After Donald Trump defeated Kamala Harris in the 2024 general election, many Democrats criticized Biden for refusing to step down earlier.
Biden appeared earlier this month Viewso he insisted that if he had decided to seek a second term in office, he would have defeated Trump.
Asked if he would be responsible for Trump’s election, Biden said, “I’ll do that, I’m looking, I’m in charge, and he won. So I’m responsible.”
Many viewers commented that Biden’s speech and mannerism during the interview seemed to provide further evidence of his cognitive decline.
