J.D. Vance argued that women have taken too much freedom and are celebrating reproductive rights.
Joe Rogan told Vance on his podcast: There are religious men who try to dictate what women can and cannot do with their bodies. ”
Vance replied: Yeah, no, look, I mean, again, I understand that, I understand the backlash to that, but I think you can, like, a lot of other issues. You can go too far and start trying to celebrate something about it, but even if you accept all the claims on the pro-choice side, at best it’s a neutral one, I don’t think it should be celebrated. ”
“I don’t think very many people are celebrating,” Logan said.

Logan: Logan was the law of the land and all of a sudden that’s taken away and men are trying to dictate what women can and can’t do with their bodies.
Vance: Yeah, yeah…but some women go overboard and try to celebrate it.
Logan: Very few people do that. pic.twitter.com/Yb7xmPMq74

I’m not a woman, but I’ve never seen a woman celebrate an abortion. Choice decisions, like any other medical decision, are treated with the utmost seriousness.
J.D. Vance criticized women, arguing that they celebrate having rights so much that they need to be stripped of their rights. Variations on the same argument have been used historically to deny women’s rights. Women have been hearing a version of what J.D. Vance is selling for centuries: the right to vote, the right to own property, the right to make their own health care decisions.
With gender disparity reaching historic levels in the 2024 election, J.D. Vance appears to be playing a role in getting more women to vote for Kamala Harris..
