Jason Kelce doesn’t appear to be in trouble for his Penn State phone-slamming incident.

Earlier this fall, a strange troll lunged at Jason Kelce and spewed homophobic slurs at him. The act was despicable, but the context behind it was very strange.

Many defended him for apparently damaging his harasser’s cell phone, but destroying someone’s property is usually illegal.

However, authorities say there is no problem with retired soccer players.

No, Jason Kelce isn’t in trouble over the phone incident.

According to Penn State University Police tell me TMZthe investigation into the encounter with Jason Kelce (possibly involving the student) is now closed.

A ministry spokesperson said: “The person in the video footage circulating on social media has not been identified.” “And not a single person has come forward with related charges to University Police for damage to personal property.”

Most people, even famous people, would come forward if someone grabbed their phone and threw it to the ground. But given the circumstances, it’s easy to see why someone might not want to confess who they are.

As you may remember, some Lando approached Jason Kelce back in November.

“Kelsey, what do you think about your brother’s distaste for dating Taylor Swift?” the troll spat, throwing in a homophobic slur in between. (No, it doesn’t make sense from the context)

Travis’ reaction was to grab the unidentified person’s cell phone and slam it to the ground. Many thought this was an appropriate and empathetic response to both Travis’ use of insults and slurs towards his brother.

It wasn’t Jason Kelce’s finest moment

Shortly after, Jason repeated the slur, for which he apologized on ESPN.

“Listen, I’m not happy with what happened,” he declared. “I’m not proud of it.”

Jason said: Not really. ”

Some criticized Jason’s response to the vandalism, arguing that words can’t justify damaging someone’s phone.

Of course, the use of homophobic slurs (one of several slurs whose use has increased in recent years, especially during the campaign of disgraced former (and future) President Donald Trump) is not a change in society. There are also counterarguments. situation.

A slur is more than just a word. Those who hurl slurs as weapons should expect retaliation. Of course, that also applies to Jason. No one truly believes that Jason is a homophobe, and it’s good that he apologized, but Jason shouldn’t have used the slur in the first place.

He will probably be able to forget this strange incident

There’s more question As for why the nameless troll used a homophobic slur specifically about Travis Kelce. A man dating a woman is generally not considered “gay”, no matter how many fans he has.

It reminds me of A$AP Rocky’s infamous tweet on Twitter Randos where he said: gay or effeminate At a photo shoot with Rihanna. This allows other social media users to reply I asked if it was “homosexual” for a man to impregnate Rihanna twice.

Simply put, some people have lost their plans. But at least Jason Kelsey is out of the woods…unless his harassers try to take him to civil court, one assumes.
