Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) has won the committee’s ranking as the top Democrat and will become the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee.. The Oversight Committee has the power to oversee the entire executive branch and is one of the most powerful committees in the House of Representatives.
Republicans used oversight majority to waste nearly two years investigating Joe Biden. James Comer’s failures when he first took over as chairman became a laughing stock as he was constantly outmaneuvered by Democrats led by Raskin.
