However, the duo are set to get a moment of reprieve in misery. In particular, Ellie can reach Joel’s brother compound and expand her story when she meets Dina (Superman Isabella Merced).
The romance between Ellie and Dina has been ruffling the feathers of several gameplayers since its introduction The final part II. and in an interview Entertainment Weekly, Merced discussed how potential backlash wouldn’t break her and the game’s creator Craig Mazin.
“I mean, it’s like my truth, so I don’t even think of it as an object,” Mercedo said, and she speaks from a place where she really doesn’t really care about heteronormative labeling as season 2 of the hit show premiere. “The game was made a long time ago. Gays were there from the beginning of time. They were always there. I really don’t know what the problem is.
“Not only that, it’s just a beautiful story. If nothing succeeds, I promise that it’s not for the theme, but for the quality of the work. If done by a good artist and executed with attention and consideration, any theme can be done properly. To see it.”
The actress continues, “I’m looking forward to the backlash.” Mercede knows that internet rage is exactly that, and that there is a truth in the real world that is undeniable. “I don’t know how to explain it. I’m not scared because gays have been around from the beginning of time. Things are that if you have gays, you have the world too. If you have their support, you’re fine.”
Our Last Season 2 will premiere on HBO and Max on April 13th.
