Former English football captain and global fashion icon David Beckham served on the night on Friday in his service to sports and charity.
Beckham, who played 115 times for England for some of the world’s most famous clubs, including Manchester United and Real Madrid, is now known as “Sir” and his wife Victoria, a former member of the Spice Girls Pop Group, is known as Lady Beckham.
The 50-year-old, who had been running for the Order for a long time, was appointed officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2003.
Victoria later received the same award for her service to the fashion industry.
“My parents and grandparents who grew up in East London were proud to be so patriotic and British, so I could never have imagined that I would receive such a truly humble honor,” Beckham said in a statement issued to the Press Association.
“I am very fortunate to be able to do my job and I am grateful for the recognition of the work that has given me so much fulfillment,” he added.
Daltrey, who co-founded WHO in 1964, earned the title of Sir, recognized on King Charles III’s birthday honor list for his charity and music service.
The 81-year-old singer is a patron of Cancer Trust, who has been holding fundraising concerts at London’s Royal Albert Hall for over 20 years.

“It’s a bit odd, but I’m extremely honored to get this, especially for the teenage Cancer Trust charity, because this honor is truly an honor for all nameless heroes,” the “My Generation” singer told the Press Association.
“It’s a dream for me, but it’s a dream, especially since charity means so much,” he added.
Oldman, who won the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of Winston Churchill in 2017’s “Darkest Hour,” also received the Order for his service to the drama.
The 67-year-old film has earned over $11 billion, and his credits include the Harry Potter series, the Dark Knight trilogy, Air Force One, which will appear in David Bowie and Guns N’ Rose sitcom Friends and music video.
Stage Star Elaine Page, who played Eva Peron in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s first production of “Evita,” and novelist Pat Barker, both became Dames.
Barker is known for his “regeneration trilogy” of World War I. The first book was transformed into a Hollywood film starring Jonathan Price.
