You can’t miss this episode! There is a continuous and much-needed revival of Jacques Maritine’s philosophy of art. The skilled poet Samuel Haza makes the most valuable contribution to his revival World of the World: Maritine and the Poet. He wrote the book 60 years ago in an introduction by Maritine himself (the only book about him receiving that honor), which was recently published.
This conversation explores some of the most important points of Maritine’s thoughts about poetry. Dr. Haza provides many lighting-hindering anecdotes and poem readings, and by himself and others to embody ideas that may seem esoteric to non-artists. .
