More than half of the Indian companies that Capgemini examined the sovereignty aspects of clouds believed they were the most important.
Security was considered an important aspect by 61% of companies surveyed, and “ownership” was a near-second element supported by 60% of companies. This is because ownership means that the producer/owner holds control and ownership of the data. Furthermore, 54% of Indian B2B organizations surveyed evaluated transparency, cloud data location and interoperability as key factors in cloud sovereignty. On the other hand, ecosystems and portability sovereignty was valued as an important factor by 53% of companies. 51% of businesses prioritized operational resilience.

The report also discussed how organizations will implement virtualization technologies in the next 1-2 years. In fact, many companies expect that 64% of organizations expect that TSPs will provide virtualized RAN (VRAN), while 57% expect that Cloud Native Network Functions (CNFS), and 64% expect that these technologies from their communications service providers. In comparison, only 57-59% of global B2B organizations expressed such expectations, the report said. Furthermore, 51% of the organizations surveyed expect network functions (NFV) and Cloud Ran (C-RAN) to RAN (C-RAN) from communications providers.
Apart from the cloud, Indian organizations will also invest in enhanced 5G and end-to-end IoT services from telecom providers at the same time. 60% of companies talk about enhanced 5G services, including network slices, ultra-less low-latency communications, 54% expect service as a network (NAAS) from telecom providers.
